Intertidal surveys involve the survey of plant and animal life on exposed rocks and the seabed at low water level during a low water spring tide when maximum exposure of the seabed is achieved. Visibile life beyond the low water mark is also usually assessed from a visual perspective.
The purpose of the survey is to determine whether any protected species or habitats are present within the vicinity of the development site.
We carry out intertidal zone seabed surveys throughout Scotland which includes the Western Isles and Argyll, Lochaber, Ardnamurchan and the rest of Highland down to Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.
