Private Water Supply Assessments in Argyll & Bute, Highland and throughout Scotland
Private water supplies are assessed to establish if they are sufficient to service the proposal, that the water in the supply is wholesome in terms of its chemical and/or biological constituents and that any risks to the supply are minimised.
To address potential risks we evaluate sufficiency of supply at the abstraction location, examine the risk from potential contaminants, and where necessary collect a water sample for laboratory analysis.
As part of the planning consent for a new development Environmental Health requires a hydrological assessment to be carried out as described above.
However, in recent years, we have also been commissioned to undertake assessments for properties that are to be sold or are for sale. The request for these has come from either the vendor or from the purchaser and for either party these can be carried out expeditiously.
